Paul McCartney’s visit for his latest
album, new, has raked in around $105.8 million in previous year 2013 &
around $40.6 million of that came from his 6 gigs in Japan, according to
statement from a music business publication. The tour was Paul McCartney’s
first time to do in Japan in eleven years. The 6 show tour began with a sold
out two night series at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka last November 11-12
& that alone raked in around $11.6 million. The show at the fifty thousand-seater
stadium earned $3.4 million more than Paul McCartney’s last tour in town. A 3
night show inTokyo sold 147,000 tickets totaling$23.4-million revenue for
the previous Beatle while one more show in the Yafuoka Dome in
Fukuoka as well added around $6.6 million. The plan that large names from the
‘70s & ’80s play large concerts in Japan & make lots of money was set
by Macca’s gig tour. Another rock star from the earlier decades, Jon Bon Jovi
was the uppermost selling tour in 2013, earning $205 million for more than a 100
gigs which, compared to McCartney’s earnings would be reached even with just thirty
shows in the state.
